The history of Othmar Decorations
In the summer of 1973, Harry Oude Weernink first travelled through Asia as part of his work as a commercial agent and importer. He went to Thailand for teak housewares, Hong Kong for metal candlesticks and Nagoya for decorative porcelain objects. It was a very special trip that laid the foundation of his passion for floristry items and Christmas balls – a passion that, over the twenty years that followed, increasingly targeted the market; decoration materials for the floral industry.
And with success ... In 1997, Othmar Decorations B.V. was established and it earned a prominent place as importer and distributor of decoration material for floristry items. The last few years, Othmar has widen his horizon and expanded enormously to gardencenters, hobby/creative and other established retail. At this moment, Othmar Decorations has become one of the leading importers of these items in Europe!
